Are you getting tired of having dry and cracked heels? Perhaps your toes are getting callused, and it is starting to feel unpleasant. If you have sensitive skin, you know that treating dry feet can be difficult. Callus removers and over-the-counter solutions may be too much for you to handle.

Fortunately, there are many different gentle remedies to treat dry feet. You can stay away from chemical-based creams and foot soaks and still get top-notch results. Read on to see what your options are for achieving soft, silky feet.

Gentle Foot Soaks For Dry Feet

  • Epsom Salt Soak – Epsom salt is commonly added to baths to soothe skin and aching muscles. It can also be used to soften the skin on your feet. Find a waterproof container or a foot basin, and fill it with warm water. Add about ½ to one cup of Epsom salt and soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes. Gently pat your feet dry, and follow up by using one of the moisturizers listed below.

  • Rose Essential Oil Soak – For a fragrant and moisturizing foot soak, consider using essential oils that are popular for treating dry skin. Rose essential oil is one that is widely used in skin care products and as a natural remedy. Add five to ten drops of this oil to a basin of warm water. Follow the instructions above. You can also combine these two recipes for a super soothing effect.

Gentle Moisturizers For Dry Feet

  • Homemade Foot Lotion – Are store bought foot creams a bit irritating for you? No problem. You can easily make a moisturizer for dry feet using some very inexpensive ingredients. Find a clean empty jar or plastic container. Mix equal parts baby lotion and Vaseline, and add one or two tablespoons of vitamin E oil. Baby oil can be used in place of vitamin E oil, too. Mix well and apply it to your feet each night to get incredibly soft skin.

  • Coconut Oil – If you do not feel like whipping up a recipe, you certainly do not have to. Simply buy a jar of coconut oil; this oil is used to moisturize skin, hair, and nails. Coconut oil can be applied directly to your feet on a nightly basis to help soften dry, rough skin. Remember to wear socks to prevent slipping or oil stains.

Professional Care For Dry Feet

If you really want an indulgent experience, visit a foot spa to have your feet fully pampered. Foot spas will provide you with a gentle foot soak that helps soften the skin on your feet. Then a moisturizer may be applied to help keep your skin smooth.

Additionally, foot spa professionals can carefully treat callouses, give you a soothing foot massage, and so much more. You can even get a colorful pedicure to make your tootsies look glamorous. This gentle remedy for dry feet is truly worth it if you would like to treat yourself.
